| Notice: These are the "unofficial" minutes of the Henry County Fiscal Court Meetings. By procedure, these minutes will not be official until after the next regular council meeting is held and minutes are approved. |
The Henry County Fiscal Court met in a regular session on April 19, 2005 at Courthouse in New Castle, Kentucky with the following in attendance:

RE: PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Judge Executive John Brent led the Court in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
RE: PRAYER & PREPARATION
Silent prayer was observed in preparation for the meeting.
RE: CALL TO ORDER
Judge Executive John L. Brent called the meeting to order and noted everyone was present.
RE: APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Upon motion by Esq. Allgeier and seconded by Esq. Brown, it is ordered by the Court to approve the minutes from the March 15, 2005 regular meeting.
Motion carried unanimously
Upon motion by Esq. Beasley and seconded by Esq. McCarty, it is ordered by the Court to approve the minutes from the March 31, 2005 special called Jail Budget Meeting.
Motion carried unanimously
RE: OLD BUSINESS
There being no Old Business, the meeting proceeded with New Business.
RE: NEW BUSINESS
RE: COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT UPDATE
Upon motion by Esq. Brown and seconded by Esq. Gunnell, it is ordered by the Court to enter into an Inter-local Agreement with the Cabinet of Transportation for striping Radcliff and Giltner Roads.
Motion carried unanimously
Upon motion by Esq. Beasley and seconded by Esq. Allgeier, it is ordered by the Court to enter into an Inter-local Agreement with the City of Pleasureville for excavating work at the Pleasureville Park.
Motion carried unanimously
Upon motion by Esq. McCarty and seconded by Esq. Beasley, it is ordered by the Court to pass a Resolution approving the County Road Aid Coop Agreement.
Motion carried unanimously
Upon motion by Esq. Allgeier and seconded by Esq. Fisher, it is ordered by the Court to set Speed Limits at 25 mph for Wolfpen RD, Foxboro RD, Fox Creek RD, Fox Run RD, Tatum RD, Valley View RD, and Arnold DR.
Motion carried unanimously
Upon motion by Esq. Allgeier to put Greertown RD on county maintenance. No action taken as motion died for lack of a second.
RE: EMS UPDATE
EMS Assistant Supervisor, Scott McClamroch informed the Court that Dr. Andrew Rochet has agreed to be the Henry County EMS Service Medical Director.
RE: 911 REQUESTS
Upon motion by Esq. Gunnell and seconded by Esq. Beasley, it is ordered by the Court to purchase two radios for the Eminence EMS for a total price of $1102.50.
Motion carried unanimously
RE: SOLID WASTE UPDATE
Judge Executive John L. Brent reported on the second annual metal recycling event noting that we didn’t get quite as much as last year but the public was much appreciated. Judge Brent also suggested the Court look at the expense of tire recycling when they review next year’s budget.
RE: AG DISTRICT RECOMMENDATION – VEGH, TINGLE AND COLEMAN FARMS
Upon motion by Esq. McCarty and seconded by Esq. Allgeier, it is ordered by the Court to accept the recommendation for an Ag District on Sunnyside Road.
Motion carried unanimously
RE: CARE TEAM – MENTORING PROGRAM FUND REQUEST
Nellie Druin with the Henry County Care Team requested $2,500.00 from the Court to help purchase needed resources for the Mentoring Program. No action was taken at this time. The Court will consider all requests as they review the 2005-2006 Budget.
RE: SPECIAL CALLED MEETING – 1st READING OF 2005-2006 BUDGET
Judge Brent announced a Special Called Meeting for the review and 1st Reading of the 2005-2006 Budget. It will be held on April 28, 2005 at 4:30 p.m. at the Judge Executive’s Office.
RE: CLAIMS AND TRANSFERS
Upon motion by Esq. McCarty and seconded by Esq. Beasley, it is ordered by the Court to approve the following claims and transfers:

RE: MOVE INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION
Upon motion by Esq. Brown and seconded by Esq. McCarty, it is ordered by the Court to move into executive session to discuss the sale and purchasing of real estate.
Motion carried unanimously
RE: MOVE OUT OF EXECUTIVE SESSION
Upon motion by Esq. Beasley and seconded by Esq. Allgeier, it is ordered by the Court to move out of executive session.
Motion carried unanimously
RE: MOTION TO RESUME REGULAR SESSION
Upon motion by Esq. Brown and seconded by Esq. Beasley, it is ordered by the Court to go into regular session.

RE: ADJOURN
Upon motion by Esq. Gunnell and seconded by Esq. Allgeier, it is ordered by the Court to adjourn and each Magistrate, the Judge Executive, and the County Attorney shall receive a typed copy of these minutes prior to the next regularly scheduled meeting.
