The Henry County Fiscal Court met in a special session on August 24, 2006 at the Judge Executive’s Office in New Castle, Kentucky with the following in attendance:

RE: CALL TO ORDER

Judge Executive John L. Brent called the meeting to order noting Esq. Beasley and Esq. Fisher were absent.

RE: SUSPENSION OF MINUTES

Upon motion by Esq. Brown and seconded by Esq. Allgeier, it is ordered by the Court to suspend with the reading and approval of the minutes from the August 15, 2006 Regular Meeting.

RE: MOTION TO MOVE INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION

Upon motion by Esq. Gunnell and seconded by Esq. Allgeier, it is ordered by the Court to move into Executive Session.

Motion carried unanimously

RE: MOTION TO MOVE OUT OF EXECUTIVE SESSION

Upon motion by Esq. Brown and seconded by Esq. McCarty, it is ordered by the Court to move out of Executive Session.

Motion carried unanimously

RE: MOTION TO MOVE BACK INTO REGULAR SESSION

Upon motion by Esq. McCarty and seconded by Esq. Gunnell, it is ordered by the Court to move back into regular session.

Motion carried unanimously

RE: PERSONNEL ISSUES

1. Planning and Zoning Administrator/Solid Waste Coordinator
Upon motion by Esq. McCarty and seconded by Esq. Allgeier, it is ordered by the Court to accept the recommendation of Judge Executive Brent and the hiring committee to hire Greg Derossett as the Planning and Zoning Administrator/Solid Waste Coordinator at an annual salary of $27,000.00.

Motion carried unanimously

2. Solid Waste Enforcement Officer
Upon motion by Esq. Gunnell and seconded by Esq. Beasley, it is ordered by the Court to hire Donnie Tipton as the part-time Solid Waste Enforcement Officer at the present salary.

Motion carried unanimously

3. Court House/Annex Janitor
After some discussion the Court was in consensus to allow Danielle McKee to continue as the Courthouse/Annex Janitor until December 1, 2006. This will allow Bobby Robinson the opportunity to take his comp and vacation time.

No action taken.

RE: ADJOURN

Upon motion by Esq. McCarty and seconded by Esq. Gunnell, it is ordered by the
Court to adjourn and each Magistrate, the Judge Executive and County Attorney shall receive a typed copy of these minutes prior to the next regularly scheduled meeting.
